I spent a week in the fall of 1992 exploring Desolation Canyon, UT

It didn't look at all like it does in the Landsat photo.
At least not from my vantage point.

Steven Stills and did a live version on one of his solo albums.

And Jefferson Starship did a couple of versions of it ...
one of them on their Live at the Fillmore ... in one of their later reincarnations.

None of them as good as the originals though.

I just downloaded some tracks off of the new Roger McGuinn CD.
You may remember him from the Byrds. (or you may not)

Which took me back to the early days of American folk/rock.

I remember making the switch from the Beach Boys to the Byrds ... somewhere around the mid to late 60's.

And every ...

Nebraska's a good choice.
Landlocked ... beautiful scenery ... friendly people ... culturally diverse ... a rich and coloful history ...
But it spans 2 time zones, which can be a problem for those of us who've opted not to wear a timepiece.
It only has 2 area codes though ... so you save on long ...

Have you ever decided to rearrange something in your life, only to find out once you've started that it's a lot more work than you had anticipated ?
And then when you're done, you decide that you liked things better the way they were before ?

I recently decided to put all my CD's into one of those ...

Corporate politics aside ... I was just glad we made it through without any major incidents.

I guess the bad guys decided it wasn't in their best interest to blow anything up.

I discovered him in a Half-Price Books ... gotta be at least 30 years ago.

Although his poetry is great, I prefer his prose.

An interesting look at a part of the Metroplex I've never seen.
Been here 20+ years and I couldn't even tell you where Jones Street is.

She stands fluid in a shaft of pale moonlight
Stylishly attired
Yet with a plain and simple bearing
A welcome sight
In this landscape of wanton excess

Not quite a damsel in distress
More, a lady in need of assistance
Unacquainted with the realities of solitary passage
And I, not quite a knight ...

can i use that next time i need a pickup line ?
