Mind should divorce itself from cinema. Which is never like real life, though I suppose some portrayals get closer than others

old frontier ghosts watching. wild burros standing dead still, frozen on a dry lake shimmer, no longer ridden by jackass miners. old mining canyons, gulches, cabin ruins, old timers all gone, slow digs replaced by brute power, big brute machines mauling hillsides. ah, but you can't go back, can't go...

The moment it sunk in that my Church tied faith to politics, war and destruction, it was dead to me. Decades ago. Never been back.

I grew up in that era, and the
Church tried to tie it to Jesus,
all those murderous weapons.

Yes, infinity laughs at us.
And the power of simple
basic kindness and respect.
No one gets that lately.

They gave us endless
tribal War for centuries
as an illegal drug, so yeah,
about time someone asked
a few damn questions, not
the easy, packaged ones.
