I couldn't post to the right place, so it goes.
There is an American (English?) form of stanzas of seventeen where each stanza stands by itself but ties to the other lines. In my memory I think it might be crystalline sonnet . . . I am not sure of the number of stanzas or verses or what ever. I was ...

caltalpa tree leaves
rustle in Febuary
bean tree flowers fall

like snow in Junes breezes
hummingbirds perch amidst them
diving for nectar

i will sit upon
an Adirondack chair waiting
for inspiration

wishing for muses
to bring me a pallet of
watercolor hues

so i may paint them
on four slender ...

balanced on a thought like metal
bowing out like the tension on a fly rod
suspended on a wire
counterbalanced with an image
supporting a metaphor
spinning from the weight and inertia
a thought like a shining mirror
a pond tucked down in the valley
between verses of evergreen
and wisps of ...
