i gave a seminar on Artaud last year. godfather of the surrealists, creepy older brother of the absurdists, he's probably gotten the closest to what i want to do in the theatre.

so i guess i'll be tearing down the set that my best friend designed, and which i helped build and did all the scenic painting. it's basically a big sewer system, but lit like a city at night ...

the internet basically already sucks. what once was so compelling has become pretty predictable and stagnant.

but you know what's not over? what still continues to intrigue and involve me, day in and day out, without fail?

real life. it's so back in. it's the new black.

i voted for gorillaz, because that was the soundtrack of my last summer's european vacation, but the fuel in the groove machine all day today has been Scissor Sister's "there ain't no tits on the radio" which i defy anyone to sit perfectly still to.

very nice. them's the words of someone who has learned himself that there is a delicate balance, in every realm of the universe. and yeah, he's gotta learn that. everyone does.

but nobody can EVER learn it for ya.

each one of us has learned that many things in the world are dangerous ...

well, i don't think that capital punishment is theatre.

theatre is meant to be a religious rite which transfigures it's participants with the Dionysian healing powers of catharsis . and by "religious" i mean of the old tribal earth religions, not the neo-state-approved RC variety.

whoa. those are incredible. in fact, those are tattooable. that's the kind of ink that deserves permanence.

well, i don't believe in god.

at least, not in the kind that judges. which leaves us as the only hope for rationality in the entire universe. and i hold rationality very dear.

so i think we'd better use good judgement.

that said, i flip on the question of capital punishment.

i just think it's easier to be honest with someone who hasn't rifled thru your room. i'd be pretty guarded with anyone who had crossed that boundary with me.
