wonderful time of year, reborn again

my cancer team
so tough and together
their caring and cooperation
incredible
hope to never need them again
but miss the commitment
the team spirit

healing thoughts to all

windows that close
and the doors that open
made me stronger
as I got weaker
the light at the end of the tunnel
warms my heart
and I turn my face
to the sun

no matter how many
wash 'em every day
still more tomorrow

breast not there
then the chemo
lost my hair
next radiation
sunburned square
5 years no cancer

keep your head up and spit that old C in the eye

forced to the chore
leaves one dish dirty

crushed under the foot
of a blind giant

must walk and get wet
no break for me
the green is aglow

end of spring rain
the bird parade begins
robins take the lead

mostly menstrual
monthly mind morass
menopause materialized
migraines meltaway
marvelous

feel your pain...

only lately included
jumping on the bandwagon
that wanders through lines
words and thoughts
living and dead
moving slowly
the sums of words
clearly or vaguely
hope to tag along
for the ride

my garden grows
flowers and garlic
let's hope
that the weeds of stupidity
won't grow here
