I just realized that I take it out on the fishes when I need to relax. Life starts to get to me, on the kayak I go with rod in tow. Still better than the mall I think.

Nice piece and I hope for me that relaxing doesn't ever become a chore.

I stood ~

Totally unaware of the importance
of this sundial
casting a shadow
of knowledge
at the base of itself

realizing ~

the transparent words
being read
at the toes of today's journal
were being written
in the pen of me

Standing ~

in awe
of nothing ...
nothing more ...
