Re: Do it again, please

WW, I like your style. What an intense poem.
LCR, lovely tender response. We have a family member to whom we blow graveside kisses. Nice to think they are received.

Yes, please, with those little marshmallows. And a piece of cinnamon toast with it. Please, and thank you.

Re: LOVING MR FUDGEE.

Sweet. Loving and lovely. You must be in a Christmas mood. This is a lighthearted poem about a tender and touching topic. Thank you for brightening up my little corner of the world with these words.

My OCD Daughter

I have a daughter who has OCD. No, she has never been diagnosed, but trust me; a mother knows. She is obsessive about punctuality. If she says she will be somewhere at a given time, she is compelled to be there on time or early. She is obsessive about keeping her cats healthy and well cared for. She...

Over in the Corner

There's a baby boy in a crib. He's cried himself out. Nobody's come for him in such a long time. He looks up at the mobile of colourful birds hanging above his head. Just out of reach. Blowing in the breeze, they seem to be trying to fly away. He tries another minute or two of bellowing, but it prod...

Re: Go my sweet child.

It's actually quite yummy. The tartness with the bland. The cold in the hot. It makes a bland dish a little bit of fun. I think my mom did this for me when I was quite young. Trying to get me to try new foods. It didn't work with everything. There are still some things I will not eat.

Re: Go my sweet child.

Well, I am glad you did. It was a change. I like a surprise now and then. that is why I always bury 2 or 3 sweet pickled onions in my mashed potatoes. To get that little surprise of a different flavour. This was that little bit of a different flavour.

Re: A healing Hole in the Heart, reopened

I did read this one first, but I wanted to read both parts before commenting. Lies are sometimes more hurtful than a slap in the face. At least you see the slap coming, even if you don't have time to duck it.

Re: Homemade Haircut

I love this poem and I can so relate. I always cut my hair now that I am old. But I also always wear a hat. Even indoors. I have made myself a whole bunch of hats in all kinds of colours and styles. But I remember once when I was a young woman getting ready for a date and my hair didn't look "right"...
