Go ahead. Talk about it.

True. He was much more of a "live experience" guy. Probably would have had limited use for pixelated exploits ...

one things for sure
we'll never know
he mighta loved it
or hated it
there's no either or
for wired me
i'm off to the races
at 430 am.
and back round 6 pm.
i find writing on a puter
much more flowing
like i think ive said
many times here
i got a ton of notebooks
they are in boxes
sometimes i go thru them
mainly to check out
the sketches i made in em
i kinda miss that
yet i always have a notebook
on me till this day
mainly for work notes
the trains for restin
or reading the post's express paper
which is free, thats in the afternoon
in the morn i try and snooze
in the quiet car
its really hard to write on a train
with pen and paper, real bouncy
ya know, hemingway is way down
my list of writers read
kinda like his short stories
hills like white elephants
im more into hesse, miller, jack, and alan watts
lotsa poetry, mostly beat poets
i like the beatdom site
which kinda took over from litkicks
now that Levi's stuck on philosophy
which to me is ridiculous when
he had built up a solid rep as a go to
beat afficianado, his choice, but come on
philosophies for bartenders
dont get me wrong some of my. best
friends are bartenders, but i emphatically
state this, "poetry trumps philosophy!"
any day month year, cept maybe back in
ancient greece....sometimes i wonder if those
litkicks people even realize how amazing
a social writing experiment they created
hell if he'd a played his cards right he coulda
sold that place for big bucks...sheeeeezzzzzz
am i on a rampage or what????

I have my notebooks, too, Mark, and boxes piled full of papers including envelopes and sketches and poems in the margins on various bills I couldn't pay. It's been a long journey. Then there are the myriad of canvases painted and half-painted. My kids are going to throw all this shit away when I'm gone and Hemingway couldn't help me and neither could the fricking internet.

Keep on doing what you're doing because you do it so well! Your work is important.

Glad to hear you're going! I'm going to rent a room a hotel. My friend, Kathie, is driving up with me because she wants to get out of the house. She won't be coming to the memorial, just staying at the hotel with me.

And yeah, the fact that time has flied so fast the past 10 years sure is definitely a bit scary. I don't know why I should feel scared of time but it's nuts how fast it goes as we get older. Glad you saved all that artwork and your notebooks! It will be great for you to go through them.

Looking forward to seeing you there! It's been a long time. Will there be music? Just curious.

It's at Dino's sister Nina's house. I have the address if you need it. Steve has it, too. It's on October 25th in the evening.

Enjoy your acting and film festival time.
