Re: What happened to...
facebook™ gives me the hebegebees
creepy
except for my family
I never went
I don't need nobody to friend me there.
I am so grateful that my email account was turned off by my former ISP I can't go there anymore
just a matter of time till they find me.
it is the hotel california
I would rather remember Litkicks here where so many of my friends from litkicks gathered
I'll ask my what ever happened to's right here on studio eight
I don't want no truck with facebook™
sorry if i am ranting
been a long hard day of one software catastrophe after another
whatever happened to y2k
Whatever happened to Tangy Tungsten and Rain
Whatever happened to the information highway
oh yes I saw a wreak on the highway but I never heard nobody pray
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d43g8unp7Wk
I wish I was drunk

To each his own. Thing is, people are asking where people are, saying they miss certain people. Well, that's where they are.
I'm connected on Facebook with almost everyone I knew on Litkicks. Almost. Except for you and mnaz and a few others. Like it or not, people go to FB *because* everybody goes there. That's where you can connect with everyone you know in the same place.
Facebook will outlive us all. People's pages turn into memorials there after they die. It will certainly outlive Studio8. No doubt in my mind.

Re: What happened to...
PS ... you're, of course, welcome to reminisce here. Why not?
I'm just saying that if you want to catch up with someone and find out what they're doing now and read their poetry, listen to their music, look at their artwork, or ask them how they're doing, they're not here.... they're on FB, so that's where I would recommend going.

Re: What happened to...
no words can express my gratitude that I am welcome here
I guess I don't have any burning to desire to keep in touch with refugees from litkicks
long live litkicks
my first home on the net
that flame board was the begining of my Zen practice
I used to call it my zenboard

Re: What happened to...
Sounds good, Mark. One of these days... You know, I have an aversion to FB too Truck. Ever since it was alleged that Big Brother used it for spying. I realize that was a long time ago, and perhaps overblown-- so my "aversion" is really my own problem at this point.
I get that.
Mainly I miss LK the site, the blog, discussing our times and art, laid out by a very perceptive and gifted writer. But I guess the joke's on me if he just moved all (or 95%) of his blogging over to FB. If so, I'll have to finally get on board I suppose. Get caught up...

Re: What happened to...
Mark... bad news...the Big Brother already got you with or without facebook... . It can be a great distraction and too much information, yeah!..., you have to be very zen to navigate it..., yeah!.
I made an account a year ago after my californian cousin negative to continue posting his baby´s photos in whatsaap... it was a cruel extortion but he got me...
Last year I enroled again in public university for two materias in search for some intelectual air and it was a must to have a count for being informated about the Cátedra´s actitvities during the year, so I had no option to continue using it. Later, I also founded it very useful for knowing about cultural and political events in my city.
In synthesis, for me it was neither the end of the world nor a totally brave new world... just my experience with the beast!
for Litkicks, it was great but I have no nostalgia for those times, I am too tired of nostalgia maybe..!
