Doreen is in recovery after her hip replacement surgery. She's resting, I hope, but this is a good time to ship out in massive doses extra-big helping of compassion and good thoughts and what you feel to help ease her recuperation.

doreen dearest dor
may all those cells line-up well
and your spirit shine

Thank you, dear Judih! I have walked with the walker, sitting in a chair now after breakfast and the occupational therapist is going to come teach me how to get dressed. Hah! And then I’ll go to physical therapy, then have lunch, then go home! Yay me! I’m amazed at how quickly this all happened. Thank Goddess for pain meds and friends who are going to help me out at home. I’ll be dancing again in a month maybe. You are a dear sweet friend! Thank you. 8) :D

you look fabulous. May the meds do their stuff till you're able to bid them adieu on your way to dancing condition.

People also ask
What do you write in a get well card after surgery?
Get-Well Wishes
“Hope you get to feeling better soon!”
“Looking forward to seeing you back at practice when you're ready.”
“Wishing you well.”
“Take extra good care!”
“Here's to you—steadier, stronger and better every day.”
“We hope you're taking it slow and easy right now.”
“Take your sweet time getting well!”
what to write in a get-well card
thanks for keeping in touch. I wish you would save a dance for me.

Awesome news, Doreen! (I've been wondering how you were doing, but not quite sure how, or whom, to question.) You inspire me! If I need one - as I may - it's good to know that I could be back on the hiking trails in a matter of weeks!

Welcome home!

And gathering round the homestead, who's sending in the pumpkin pie?
I'll send pumpkin pie thoughts (better thoughts than my attempt to make a vegan pie and mail it).
Hugs Doreen. watch out for slippery floors and rugs that might try to jump up and challenge your path

Thank you everyone! It’s day 3 post-op and I am dealing with pain and swelling but that was to be expected. I suspect it will get worse before better.

I probably exaggerated, in my optimism, that I will be doing regular routines in a month. Estimated recovery time is 6-8 weeks on the minimum end. Could take longer. I am doing 3-4 PT assigned exercises and I’m going to outpatient PT on Monday. Will see the surgeon Wednesday.

I’m very tired but otherwise managing ok. My housemates cooked dinner for Thanksgiving last night but I think I fell asleep before dessert. I’d love a piece of that pumpkin pie, Judih. But the thoughts for pie are just as good! I think the ladies are making one today. 😜

Much love to all! I am thankful for you!

how's it going, doreen. listening to music to ease this time of strengthening?
audio book perhaps?
I'm listening to Pema Chodren's "Making Friends with your Mind" https://youtu.be/eck9dr0prQg. She's great and good for small chunks of listening.
