i see the mystery
of a dogs bright face
and a trace of hieroglyphics
undeciphered, backward
trees, sharp instruments,
embodied explanations
in simplistic lines and
i dine on hands shaped
like leaves autumn-fallen,
glorious,
amok with
tinted blue
cheeks,
sky, like a sly
racket playing
gamble games
with me.
i welcome
spring and how
the winter fades
to grey, birds
coming to play
with seeds.
and if i didn't have add,
i'd continue the conceipt
even farther.
further is for distance, i think.
farther is for more possibilities.
i see mysteries
in tinted faces.
i welcome
seasons,
fallen
leaves
and warm pita
bread, trucks still
coming to deliver,
dogs always
there when morning
dares to burn
an X
on your
soles,
the tread,
hotsticky.

there is nothing beneath
beneath nothing beneath
underlying currency,
nothing beneath
below, lowdown
truth, nothing
underneath
roots and silt
and though
guilt might
incite a possible
turn of soil, there is
nothing beneath
below and though
i am so reticent to admit
there is nothing more
toward the suface of
because of it than anything
below it i could ever find.
let's spread the virus.
love is a captivating
disease.
