well, Ariel, it is what it is... I don´t know why we insist in asking for pears to the elm tree, as the old saying says... maybe the insistence thing it´s also just human... :? (I really liked your article, by the way)

I listened to him via Telesur yesterday: a big dialogic? show, with some truths as he use to. His favourite capitalists did the bad step (again!) so he sounded highly euphoric (well, more or less as usual...!). He was here to launch with our president some economic agreements and also recived a premio from La Plata University of Social Communication because of his labour in pro of the popular media in a moment where our government have a lot of its energies put against the Clarín Corporation (and viceversa).

I had a lot of homework this week (tests, diagnostic informes, planifications... papers and papers that after fifteen years working in schools bore me more and more each year... why write all that with cute labels if we can just talk about it and have more time to do other things sure more interesting?? )... so, I had a lot of time to watch TV and I continue following Chávez gira in Uruguay and today in Bolivia!. Very, very interesting...! (links and commentaries later!)

When you see and listen Chávez in talkings you never know if he´s an inflated ego just about to pop or a friendly interlocutor who gives place, validation and strength to his interlocutors or both or maybe something different. But the experience is always edgy for sure…! . The tool-kit used goes from saludos, encourage football-like chantings and consignas, songs (from national anthems to popular musicians), rants, writers, philosophers and politics quotations, autobiographical experiencias, wearing of traditional costumes, historic revisionism, praises, critics, news´s readings, jokes… and sure more!...and all that for more than an hour..! wowww!...
In theory I agreed with the kernel of what I understood most of his speeches were about -maybe not in so rotundos terms-: he encouraged the union and the work-together among the different southamerican countries, the participation of the people in social organizations, the awareness of what´s going on in the world and the possibility of counter-revolutionary attempts in the following year (he talked in first person at this point). He also spoke about his position about Libia (many times), Obama & the imperio and also read part of Fidel´s latest column and did commentaries of his advice of “to sleep with one eye open…” (how´s that? :? ).

Meanwhile, here it´s election year again and the right-right already prophetized a sort of Hitler times mixed with red seventies´s renewed shadows and inflationary chaos near… I wonder which could be the name of that if it were a drink… well, well, well …
