The Priests of Power
"Skepticism is the chastity of the intellect" Santayana The Idea of Christ in the Gospels
Re: The Priests of Power
civil war
the misnomer
our commander in chief
our Nobel Peace Prize winner with the kill list
a civil war in Gaza
a civilian government in Israel
two peoples' culture
one land
hilary the peace maker
does she know now what she did not know then
the holy land
the holy goofs
running the show
where are the Russians in all this?
they have no interest?
Lions and tigers and bears
I do I do believe
in progress
no joke
just a sick sense of humor
a resignation to perpetual war
I wait for the next peace to break out
long enough to re-arm our selves
and when we arm ourselves we arm our enemies
I have to remind myself that these are my good old days

Nothing against them or ill notions intended, but I have a hard time relating to those who don't drink caffeinated coffee, or even a glass of ice tea.
But Marie Osmond, yeah definitely. For one night in her sweet company I'd refrain from smoking, drinking or even thinking about having a Pepsi. Then again why not lead her into temptation ? Maybe some decent wine, or else top shelf vodka in some remote vacation rental cabin setting. Perhaps the right conditions, such as being on the rebound from yet another divorce would be all I need in order to sway her to cut loose and get down.

They never come up to my door, you know the guys with white shirts and black ties riding bicycles. I've been visited by the Jehovah's Witnesses, and some weird southern protestants from a few denominations, but never the LDS.
Are they dangerous ?

Re: The Priests of Power
She voted for the war on Iraq, her excuse was "if I had know then what I know now I would have not voted for the war"
There were 27 senators that voted against the war, what did they know that she did not?

The LDS missionary who knocked on her door got more than he bargained for.
Joyce Bernann McKinney.... was charged with kidnapping a Mormon missionary, chaining him to a bed, and having sex with him — and the revived interest in her truly bizarre story inspired director Errol Morris to produce Tabloid, a film about the case and the hurricane of media attention thrust upon this beautiful young woman who was maybe also insane.
