"A research team assessing when a new geological epoch shaped by humans began has settled on the mid 20th century. Makes sense. And from its very first instants, the new epoch flirted with self-annihilation of the species that ushered it in. How ironic would that be? -- "Anthropocene," but with no "anthro" around ...

Actually, I take it back. You're right. We populate and overrun this rock like a death wish, but one can only hope that with all of this (relatively sudden) raw consciousness expansion, collective light bulbs start to go off in our collective heads. That is, if we don't drown in our own shit first, of course ...

Which brings me back to my 4:44 post ...

"Hollywood" makes blockbuster movies about aliens coming to steal our planet (after trashing their own) these days, starring Tom Cruise . . . Or at least they made one of them like that. Can't remember its name ...

But I think the seemingly endless run of computer-generated blockbusters built on the endless fight against evil are geared more to keep us on our toes and be ready to war against enemies of the state, more than anything else. Though I'm probably wrong ...

Oh, I see the cartoon changed...
About this cartoon: Well, we've always "thinned our own herd," haven't we? I suppose help could come from The Outside, but so far we've handled it ourselves ...

(God, this is getting depressing ...)
