THE FIX IS IN, A POLITICAL TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Journal Post by SooZen

Because I am in the midst of a major fibro flare which exacerbates all of my other physical failings, I haven’t had the energy to do much but moan (O really SooZ?) But today, I am putting the pain in my neck, wrist, knees, feet and my dizziness and blurry vision aside and try and talk about something I rarely do… AMERICAN POLITICS (ut oh!)… mostly because it stirs up such dust and rancor.

Whether you believe me or others who know how the system works, the FIX is already in. Our two party system is not ruled “by the people” no ma’am! no sir’ee! That… you (that follow the talking heads) may already know, but do you know that who gets the final nomination for President of the United States is decided by a very few in their respective two party conventions?

Our government, now, is a government ruled by corporations, banks, their lawyers, and the upper classes, all who hold the reins firmly in control. You may also know this (depending on your leanings or states of denial…) IF you call yourself a Democrat or a Republican and stubbornly vote that way (because of one reason or another) you may believe that those parties mostly have your interests and beliefs at heart. They don’t, not really. Power is totally intoxicating and there are a lot of intoxicated people in that sphere.

And what do I mean by the FIX being in? I’ll tell you (if you have read this far…) Delegates are elected by the people who vote in their respective states (which in our country is a dearth of the voters actually, which is sad in itself). Once they get to the Conventions, they are pledged to support their delegate(s). BUT the two parties have an ace up their sleeves (cheating SooZ? Really?) That ace is something the parties have to assure that the “right” person gets nominated. They are called the Superdelegates and they are ‘free’ to support whichever delegate they deem fit (actually, who the rulers of the parties deem fit). Because they are there to make sure no so called ‘crackpot,’ ‘communist’ or just someone they don’t happen to deem is electable and does not ultimately toe ‘The Party’ line.

These ‘Supers’ meet in secret during the respective Conventions (and sometimes before) and they are well versed (brainwashed?) as to who they should support by the DNC and/or the RNC rulers.
Unfortunately (I think), that really leaves no room for any alternatives (which is the main reason the ‘beloved socialist’ Bernie Sanders of the far left decided to run as a Dem instead of as an Independent).

And because I am well aware that the FIX is in, I do not worry that the Reps will nominate some crackpot or bombast like Carson or Trump. They won’t because none of the above fits the ‘Party’ line, is electable or is actually what those in power really want.

Risky business and the fears of losing POWER OVER THE PEOPLE rules. The Millennial’s (aka Generation Y or the Net Generation) are just as idealistic and driven as we Boomer’s during our early years (and bless them for that) but the term ‘idealistic’ applies and they are sadly (IMO) mostly unaware that the FIX is in by our two party system so they work tirelessly for the candidates they ‘think’ may have a chance of being elected. NOT A CHANCE, not unless those nominees understand and will follow what the party ‘dictates’. (Yikes! You used that word SooZ?)

And if you think dear readers that I am just blowing air out my arsehole, just do some research on the issue. I did, long ago, and it is one of the reasons I always vote as an Independent because we absolutely need alternatives to THE FIX. (Not the band btw.)

Now, back to licking my wounds…

right on the MONEY ( pun intended), of course... and your analogy and mine are like laced fingers and I so do appreciate your clarity in the midst of your physical discomfort, we need more clarity my friend...it's all pretty surreal, a mad world...where folks overworked have little energy to dig deep enough to know what you know....my hope is mandatory (IMHO).. having kids and grandkid SO i would like to imagine them inheriting a world where the masses awaken and form third, fourth, fifth and sixth parties that see,.. the FIX must be sent packing. I feel the BERN, so do my children, and in a perfect world he would win hands down, but once again can we get around the FIX ?....at least Ben Delusional and Donald Megalomaniac are comic relief ( tho scary as shit)....but UN-electable...this I know fo sho....the FIX will FIX that....

thanx sooz.....good to know their are like-minded creatures out there....how do we spread the word ?.....TOO LATE ?

Here's hoping your demon ailments leave ala unwanted house guests
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Beware of the corporate military complex..These are things that can get me riled, we suffer similar BS up here too, although we have a Prime Minister with good hair. I don't let it crawl under my aging skin...no siree i just walk down the road not paying attention to any of it, because it can't be changed...so I let those up on the hill go round and round on their samsaric wheel...no siree it don't bother me a hoot.

if i look at the microcosm that is kibbutz, change is almost impossible unless the Big Cheeses desire it. Slowly, slowly, without heed to others, they will push their agenda. Why? Because they can.
The only ones who slip under the wire are the ones who do their revolutionary deeds in small almost negligible steps. A meditation here, a puppet expressive workshop there. No big deal = no big threat. Only the next generation can be encouraged to maintain an open mind.

for what it's worth.
not a fix for the FIX, just an opening.

Saw,
how do we spread the word ?.....TOO LATE ?
Never too late, never too soon.

Like Artguy said, step off the wheel and be what you want to happen. Me? I am just an observer and a chronicler in my connective sphere and that is enough to make a change. Hand wringing is not a part of it, nor is despair and fear. I always have endless hope, love and compassion and baby, that's all ya need! Teach your children, your grandchild or yourself how to meditate if you want to protect them. Awareness is the best armament.

judih, flying below the radar in stealth mode works well in your environs and I know the changes you are making is what is needed. Grateful for teachers that are awake and aware...dancing and breathing and speaking with hands, fingers & thumbs! You will not fail to make an impression on the young...

Truth.

Thanks dear readers...
