"Ole Sol" is sinking low,
Evening bells say it's time to go,
We pack it in and get off the beach,
Soon we'll drive back and begin work anew,
So little time for things we really like to do...

Even before the bell rings,
We start to roll up and pack in our things,
Good time was had at the lake,
But it is time for a meal to partake.
As we head out, we pack ice on the lake trout...
Well, the catch was good and dinnertime's about...

listening to voices in search
looking for rules
waiting for direction
then forgettin
falling into habit
what was okay
is okay
good enough
watching bodies in motion
following paths
same footprints
different shoes
where we went
we go once more
what was fine
is fine

Listening to the voices in the night
Down the alley one dim lamp
Not even a breeze
A September evening
Cool, like a jazz tune
Some young rubes
Chatting alley way friday night
My joint went out
Tomatoes are about finished for the year
The pond is dark
Triffid shadows
Wild rosebush bent to the wind
Voices down the alley........

Total recall...
Upon a "jig lift"
Picking apples--
Tasting one...
Jig-a-jig-jig...
Liked this gig.

if I wait any longer
I might MISS THE JAM..
that would be so unlike me,
though I often miss the point,
RAILING, PREACHING THE WORD!
as the last breaths of summer
kiss me right in the chapped
cheeks..

Sundown gorgeous deep re...
actually there is no sun, I live
amongst the rain belt, ah but the
air is fresh, even if grayish and a
little too quick to concede light.

Heyyyyy.... wassappenin!?
how y'all doin' out there in cyberville?
we been jammin' since years back
and we'll do it for years ahead
'cause we can't get our fill!

5 jams in 2004
12 jams in oh 5
4 jams in oh 6
3 jams in oh 7
3 jams in in oh 8
2 jams in oh 9
and 2 in twenty ten so far!

not to mention all the other
studio8 online events
man, we been rockin'!
where did the time went?

and now it's almost fall -
the winter chill soon comes,
and all of us will be havin' a ball
hangin' out with the jam bums!

twenty ten
let's do it again
when our toes are froze.
keep smilin' brothas and sistas,
'cause nobody knows where the time goes!

2 jams in 2010 so far
hey, that ain't even up to par.
in 2005 we had twelve!
we were some bad jammin' poe-tree selves.

OMG, i'm end rhymin' again.
it's not my fault, it's just where i been.

8) :D

(i'm gonna break loose with da jazz here momentarily.
hold on to yer chairs! gonna let my hair down, drum
on the congas a bit... better sit down 'cause i'm gonna
be like a sax jammer and wail some shit!)

jazz jam got canceled

left my voice, my
head and my sax in
the back of a van
somewhere downtown

the man pulled jojo
over, he freaked, took off
like a crack head jettin'
from the fed

all it was
was a expired tag
but the lag got us good

no jazz tonight by the
waterfront, the 'hood's
got a cone of silence

gonna have to go
to mamma's house
instead, get some vittles,
ain't been fed like mamma
can feed me for months

damn jazz jam
don't have a jazz band

jojo went loco,
vivian's lost her scat,
fat cat club owner's suing us
for breakin' a contract

lost my drive
lost my ride
wonder why i got outa bed
damn that jojo lost his
cranked up head,
man

no gig tonight
catch ya next friday
at dan's place
byob

jojo got himself
some free room
and board
better him
than me

seeya next
week, we'll
be blowin', babe,
blowin' a jam, man

mamma's got some
home cookin'
damn it'll be good
to be home
