Happy Holidays to all! Thanks for joining in to celebrate!
This is a collaborative internet event for poets, visual artists, photographers, and others who love interpretations of the same topics artistically. This creative collaboration celebrates the warmth and love of the season and our love for artistry in many forms. Plus, we'll ring in the New Year with Love..... together!
How Will it Work?
We will have multiple threads being posted.
1) START A THREAD BY POSTING A PHOTO of someone
or something or some place you love at the top of the thread.
If you don't have a digital photo of something, someone, or some place
you Love, you can download free images right here at Morgue File,
then upload the image to start the thread using the upload link
at the bottom of the posting window.
2) Others will view your photo and WRITE A POEM, PAINT, or DRAW
a piece of artwork as a RESPONSE to your photo on the thread.
(You can scan your images in if you have a scanner or take a digital photo)
3) You can respond to the photographs others have posted by posting a
POEM, PAINTING, or DRAWING prompted by the photo.
Important Note:
Please note that you must either own the images you post or have permission from the artist or photographer to post images on Studio8. If it's a friend's image, please give them credit for the image by naming them and if they have a website, please link to their website when posting the image. If you are posting images by famous photographers or artists which images which are in the public domain, please also credit the artist or photographer. Thank you!
Replying with Audio Files
You can also respond to a thread with an audio file if the photograph inspires you to create some music or spoken word, or if you have an audio file you own which the photo at the top of the thread inspires. Please see How to Post Audio Files for info about posting them.
Replying with Youtube Videos
If the photograph on first post of the thread inspires you to reply with a youtube video, that's fine, too! This is a multi-media event. Please see How to Post Videos to Studio8 here.
Welcome! And enjoy! Happy Spirit of Love Holidays to All!
