and so another Christmas begins it's fade
from present
into memory
taking along with it
gently vibrating echos of laughter
the lingering warmth from smiles,
enduring memories of hugs from surprises,
and perhaps a few private leftover longings
from wishes still left unfulfilled
or simply not able to be fulfilled.

elegance excites the palate
white wine and crystal
candlelit with love

When all is gold
and lit up.

that spot
that time
that 'tween' zone
in mundane moments

that's where quiet bliss lives

sometimes
if we're very lucky
bliss allows us a fleeting glimpse
before stealing away on a grin
