Bitter herbs again, sorry

as if I am not compulsive enough without it
just ignore me
And I'll go away

Adult pleasures
I was about thirty one the first time I got high
It seems a ripe old age to indulge
I would not recomend it for anyone whose nervous system is not completely wired in.

Somewhere in this apartment full of books I have one Called
Wild Child - girlhoods in the counterculture
Here is a pretty harsh review of it
http://www.arf.ru/Biblio/wchild.html

here is the amazon review
http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Child-Moon-U ... 158005031X

It just dawned on me Jan Kerouac was Iphigenia

I would have thrown it out, I wanted to be done with it today. But it seemed so a waste. It so nice. Get some red in it for sure.
down to the laste couple of bowls

I feel compelled to finish it this morning

then enjoy the day by day enlightenment of a journey back to nowhere
because this is it

the first thing i notice as I detox is my dreams become more vivid. That is good. And after maybe a month the calm steady feeling of the presence returns.

that is good too.

got to go
smoke um because I got um

Visions of Bartok's Bunnyrabbits

I am
too wired on weed to sleep
It has been a long long day, a good day and I should be sleeping the sleep of the just by now
But when I laid down and tried to sleep
after turning the the classical music radio station on.
with very sophorific soothing classical piano
playing ever so softly I could not barely hear it
I got up and
turned the volume up just a little but with trepidation

I figured the base drums and horns would come in like a souther pacific freight by my back door
sure enough I was laying there with my eyes closed
watching the picture show
dancing wicker bunnie rabbits
morphed into chess pieces
and the music cranked up just as I had anticipated it masked the sound of the approaching freight train that came rumbling by litttle shack here before I even heard it coming
and just as the engineer blew his horn at the the brass came in like I knew it would to play along with the horns.
and the piano was playing such deep chords I could hardly tell the freight had passed.

love that crazy weed tooo
but now it is time to detoxify
the moxified fried green braincells
my lungs cry out for healing
my wife knows when i've been stealing
my life needs to be about more than mollified squealing

amen
amen

amen
high as a kite already
be here now
straight as an arrow
walk a crooked mile
nonlinear reminder
chili rice and coffee with beer
and a cheer with youse
and a tear

so easy to die
so hard to live
cool fall morning
revives me

when up to our necks in a cess pool
do we want to make waves?

I watched a show on Orozco
I searched and searched but could not find an image of one of his paintings called Metaphysical Landscape. It looke like a sky full of clouds with a black rectangle in the center. My eyes drawn to the blackness, the way I tried to peer into the darkness of that childhood basement which was the repository of all my fears. A mystical feeling Man I would love to have a print of it, or better yet a mural painted on the ceiling over my bed so I would be looking into it every morning when first I awakened.

here is a comment by his son about that painting.
His last paintings, which his son Clemente calls premonitory, show an abstract, airy "Metaphysical Landscape" dominated by a black rectangle, "a window on the infinite which is unknowable, but it exists."
"This type of mysticism," his son says, "is the mysticism of Jose Clemente Orozco."
I am going further down the heretical path.
I been thinking that we create what ever we want for ourselves after death. What ever we believe will be is the way it will be.

I been leaning towards everybody gets a pass to heaven. Everybody.
Even George Bush. And we will all be laughing our asses off to see him and Osama trying to get each other thrown out. Jerry Falwell will be annoyed to see all the atheists there.

I talked to homeboy today
Told him I was in trouble
told him what I weigh
he asked me if I was still smoking
I said yes
there was a long silence

Counting calories today, writing down everything I eat. About 1600 calories today so far.
I suppose I should go to bed before I eat anything else

it is so easy for geezers to slip away
It is not the dying I mind so much as the half assed stroke that would leave me drooling in diapers. My fate out of my hands.

cess pool?
really jim
hard for me to imagine you in a cess pool

Yeah reminds me of ...
I can't think of artist's name
I posted something about him here on studio eight, I'll see if I can find it.
thanks for the photo. I been thinking about, noticing light a lot more these days, as if I am storing it up for dark times to come.

Been a long day
wasted on the way
finding a little respite
a bit of expiation
q quickening
first good morning in weeks
a taste of fall
felt cozy to put a jacket on
sit out in the rosey morning light

October Light
A few times in my life I have noticed a certain light on a particular fall day

I have wondered if it is always the same day in the solar cycle, or does it vary with my latitude or longitude.

fleeting,
Sometimes it is the morning other times in the evening
more evening I think
but this morning it was a beautiful light

stoned again
Can you tell

I can't believe it has been almost five years since I posted this. I am thinking how your life has changed so much in the past couple of years and I am still stuck in karma. I weigh more now than I did than. Those were my good old days I was complaining about.
