late february sindrome

Post by Arcadia » February 20th, 2008, 11:44 am

two weeks for the classes to start and we had a reunion where some beautifulllllll words from our new socialist province minister of education were communicated to us. Among them (I have to say that highlighted by our director...) this one: "Hay que volver a enseñar" something like "you have to teach again".... was it a joke? was it too deep or too plain? was it a recrimination? was it a koan? Well, the common feeling was malestar instead of encouragment. The typic thing: "you were doing the things bad, or you were doing nothing until now, now you´ll have to work and think". Is that part of the socialist moral and ethics? If you were a gardener or a cook or a phisician or whatever and someone says to you: "you´ll have to start to do what you are supposed to been doing" what would you feel/ think?. And this kind of tips are so common in the easily culpogenic pedagogic discourse...

I am still working on translating culpogenic from another post of yours. I think jimbo used it first. Is it a religious term? I can't google a definition.
raised-catholic and now adult with suddenly furious-tender-funny-terrific-culpogenic catholic conscious or unconscious attacks (I guess I still belong to this group )

Have you ever seen a comic strip called Dilbert? The boss in that strip reminds me of your director.

i have a pretty romanic notion of teaching. No idea of the beuracracy involved.

Is it a religious term?

maybe. Thanks for the link to the other thread!. I was good to re-read it now.

culpógeno: generator of guilt

Our learning-matrixes are based in catholicism somehow (among other things). And a group of teachers (most of them woman) and a group of nuns sure they still have some points of connection

anyway, today was a good day. Very interesting dialogues surged. I proposed to go again to the frase and ask for a context for it. And it looked more like: "it´s time to not be too much a cook, a waitress, a mother, a nurse and a social assistant". There are other people for that. It sounded good!. Let´s see.

no...!! I´ll try to google it!!. The general (heavy sometimes) feeling is like our directora is somehow Fidel and we are living in Miami (leaving the ideology and género aspects aside)

thanks for reading!! :)

 yeah, maybe it was that way, who knows?. I didn´t knew them too much except that they stank a little, specially the older ones!

Well, february again, first day at school and one of my co-workers almost vanished, with 4-7 blood pressure even after eating salt and coke. I told her if she wanted some points from mine!  Interesting emergente de apertura, even though I have the feeling that there are more armony in the atmosphere than last year. Well, I know it´s only the 2nd now... let´s hope ...
