He and diamond lil married fifty years this year

More than a sibling

Bugs me I can't remember his name, a partner in crime at Zero Motor Freight back in the eighties. A cajun, french name that escapes me, bomber pilot world war two, B-25's I think.

He said a good pilot sleeps every chance he gets.

I think trucker's have a Ph.D. insleepology. Spend so much time on the edge. right there floating on the edge between the surface of the water and the deep. Hard to track my thoughts as I drift off to sleep.

A trick I learned from a partner in crime, I can't remember which one, so many Zero Heroes were veterans, I was the only civilian in the bunch. He used to tell me to "sleep fast"

You ever listen to any of those books on tapes? Sacred Clowns a novel by Tony Hillerman.
I used to use them as sleep aids, drift off to sleep listening to them.
Then for a while I would listen to the BBC World News overnight and wake up like an idiot savant of cricket scores.

Whatever it takes, the down side of pot for me is that it makes my dreams less vivid.

At least they can't bust you for benadryl.

well, arcadahliia, my dears,
i am stoned at present, yes it is true and, due to your suggestion, i may very well go out back and d0o yet another toke

my stepson now has a new neighbor
he met him in thhe alleyway
this kid is the classical hippie
wow, man, he is like maybe 23
long hair into a pony
beard
coveralls!

he had some home made hashish
actually compressed kief
from that fine powder
left over thru th screen
in th grinder

plus the mother weeed
that blue-green mercy with a fine crystal pollen on th top
zooom
i got a lil bit

get you higher than a kite

yup

my step-son is a cornucopia of pot

mercy

and yet
i got to take a break

so for now smoking this fine stuff'
with an upper affect
and less smoke
more toke

but yes
i need to take a break

if i were in argentina
i could just breathe th air

in texas stilltrucking can pick mushrooms in th cow pasture right across th railroad tracks, where th weed grows wild

well now,
i went to th gym yesterday
was stoned from the morning
on the treadmill 34 minutes (4 min cool down)
did 2 miles
the telling fact is that my heart was pumping sludge
so at a speed of 4.1 my heart rate was >140
above my max target heart rate of 138
so i slogged at 3.9 mph in my heart rate zone

and today after sleeping it off
i spent another 34 min on the treadmill annnd
at 4.1 my heart rate was 120-125
so i slogged at 4.7 mph a full point above the pot dragging day
with a cardiac rate of 133-35

and i feel better
after a couple of hunger pangs for pot it passed

plus i was more attentive to my wife,
played catch with my ten year-old step-grandson and then his 3 year old lil bro

and my step-son and step-son in law showed up after fishing
pleasant
but instead of filetyting th fish at home and spending family time,
they wanted to hang out and get drunk

but then step-son-in-law, after cutting up the fish, left a trail of scales and fish soaked sweat deposited inside the house, my step-daughte's,
and left the innards outside in the open,
crashed in th bed all fishy

and stepson dissappeared to his home
not aware that their intended post-fishing intentions were possibly inconsiderate

pot is supposed to be an enlightening substance
but i guess the flame depends upon the candle

pot is not
my intended lifestyle

it has been a year since i started journalling about this
only here somewhat recently as a creative complaint
to illustrate the seduction of it
and th pros and cons
and where i am in it
out of it

time for a change

i did learn to not be paranoid
feel absolutely solid
but it's the physical strain
the loss of motivation and the fatigue
and the lungs

so i will leave off for awhile
just in time
for whatever happens next 8)

Interesting thought.

Been a couple days
Leaves me sleepy all the time
after the high

My lungs about where I seem to want them
Swampy
nice cough going

Life against Death
Death against Life
A reason to believe
A reason to live

I miss my elephants

now is the unfolding moment
am taking vows to heal my lungs
and be responsible for my wife

i really don't need it anymore
at least for another try

pot is not my intended lifestyle

mebbe later

a time for penitence
peace, love, happiness.

flip a coin.
pray for penitence.
