ten four front door

shake shake

shake rattle and roll

when the southern pacific rolls by my back door.

the sweetest sounds are the loaded freights and the high balling Amtrack passenger trains.

The loaded freights rumble a long way off, I can start to feel them in the concrete floor of my shack by the railroad tracks. Maybe a hundred yards from the main line.

The empty ones are all screeching squealing grating sound.

The passenger trains are fine, that doppler effect on the air horn blows me solace.

roll on big sister

you shake um
I'll rake um.

I guess I thought Litkicks was going to be there forever.
But I could see brooklyn was getting weary of the back and forth bickering.

Shaky Dreams

Teddy had some shaky dreams.

A sad story about a childhood stolen.

Funny she only posted that one story.

Maybe she was posting with other user names.

Shaky Dreams

Nodding off and the bear calls looking for my sister.

just on that edge
just on the horizion
where sleep meets consciousness
half a brain on either side

I could not go back to sleep

Wide awake bought another pack of cigarettes just to take a ride on my motorcycle. It makes me feel so good to ride at night, but my night vision is gone.

Remember Qat, I think was his name, I used to think he had good night vision.

Shaky dreams

I am sorry to hear that.

I worked with a lot of combat vets. Some of them lifers, at war in VietNam and Korea.

One was called 'Happy' on the CB radio, we ran sleeper team for a couple hundred thousand miles. Ole Hap used to tell me "Sleep Fast" as I crawled into the sleeper for my shift of rest.

Sleep fast

Shaky dreams

Hard to desribe sleep in a truck roaring down the interstate, a cab over engine model which meant the sleeper bunk was right over the big motor.

After awhile of laying there listening to the cb chatter in the background the throbbing beat of the diesel would set to vibrate every atom of my being to its frequency.

Never a deep sleep, but the dreams were vivid,

it was sleeping fast to the max.

shaky dreams

I am thinking about what that means.

I don't know

You put those words out there

And I am reaching to understand you

I feel as if you are two steps ahead of me or more

Shaky dreams

bad dreams

nightmares?

fuck it just rest your eyelids if nothing else.

Happy used to tell me they fatigue first, amazing what forty five minutes of shut eye can do.

Do you have a school holiday coming up

Purim or Passover

I hope so

sleep fast

shaky dreams
when you say it again it sounds like a great title for something quite huge
multi-media canvases, animated holograms, words, music
shaky dreams
come as you are, jump right in
no holds barred
no bars please
alcohol will cloud the clarity of shake

purim this week - 3 day break
passover - in a few weeks, another break

breaks add to the shakes, transition times are the roughest

I understand.

When I was lucky enough to be employed
Workin' for a while on a fishin' boat
Right outside of Delacroix.
(Moro Bay California actually). The saying was "On the beach" for those transition times when you did not have a boat.

A state of being at loose ends, not knowing what to do with yourself.

The comfort of a routine.
The addiction to the grind.

I am off the news again, just the newspaper. I feel like a news paper gigolo a woman here keeps buying me newspapers.

Clinton and Abbas smiling shaking hands, unusual criticism of Israel by a Sec of State. RE: the archeology dig in East J town.

You ever listen to country music?

Let the magic of the internet give you a Litkicks archive

Click to enter

If you have a specific month, or year, in mind I can link you to that month, or years archive, which would make searching even easier.

Thanks, it is more of stump than an archive but hopefully as the spyder thingy continues it crawl it may be expanded

I searched through to page 15 of the archive which would be around February of 2002. That is when I got this message
Not in Archive.

No archived versions of the page you requested are available. If the page is still available on the Internet, we will begin archiving it during our next crawl.

You may want to:

Search for all pages on the site litkicks.com/
Try a different page address, at top

See the FAQs for more info and help, or contact us.
The other thing is that even on the 15 pages that were there only the top post on the thread is available.

Even so Thank you very much I look forward to browsing through it.

I can live on a half a loaf.

Cecil I searched for limbo but no luck either it was posted to some other board or it was posted before Feb 2002.

Xp it is a story by lennyzee, called Limbo

Any info would be much appreciated.

I forgot your name
Dave?

My real name is Jacky, but hardly anyone calles me that anymore.

Sometimes when I feel like flying my freak flag I log in as tinkerjack. The avatar is my name sake, the man I was named after.

I used to love the flame board on litkicks. I called it my Zen board. It was very helpful to me

Man Xpress you don't know how much I thank you again

I just found this on the archive. He said he was not going to save the Flame Boards.
jokes, trucks, chickens and thunderstorms

I just wanted to clarify, about the decision to kick stilltrucking off the site yesterday:

Nobody gets deleted for one joke, and the dumb jokes he posted yesterday were not a particularly big deal. The main problem was that he had a habit of harassing a few women on the site with insulting sexist remarks. These remarks were directed to women who had done nothing to encourage his attention. We warned him a few weeks ago that this had to immediately stop.

By the time he posted those jokes yesterday, he was already on our "just give us one more reason to delete you" list.

If stilltrucking is going to try again as Thunder Chicken, I really hope he understands that he was violating the privacy of other members by singling them out by name, or by suggestion. This is much more serious than any tired old racist joke.

By the way izeveryboyin named this board. I think it is a much better name.

Yes I agree.
Fire and joy

There was one thread that spiraled down the page like a double helix.. Not a deliberate design it just happened as people replied , it was very cool.

If brooklyn is happy with his more is less philosophy that is cool by me. I just wish he could have afforded to keep the archive intact.

Cecil,
Lenny used to post here for a while... just search "lenny" and you'll find his writings.

Jack,
I've written to Levi probably about 3x during the past 2 years since I've been occasionally posting on the new litkicks ... to let him know that when you click my name, my profile doesn't show up and none of my poems are listed (unlike everybody else where their poems are listed and their profile does show up) .... he never wrote back. I think it's a software glitch or something. Maybe he gets busy and can't write everybody who emails him back. Just saying, if he hasn't answered your emails, that's probably why. Me too.

On his litkicks blog he ways "we enjoy getting hate mail"

I never sent him any hate mail.

But I did get some hateful replies from the staff.

I have not emailed brooklyn in five years. I have no desire to email him.

I am sue he will be happy to hear that.

I hope you don't mend me singling you out by name

thisis where I singled you out.

I am quoting brooklyn, I don't know what he meant. That I could not mention anyone's name in a post?

All history, I have no desire to have anything to do with litkicks anymore. Which is good because they want nothing to do with me.

I just wish he had left the archive.

oh i see... i've gone there a few times during the past year or two ... i get bored... it's very very slow. i wish they left the archives too. oh well.

nothing on the internet is permanent... oh... except everything on the internet is permanent... meaning it's backed up on some server somewhere .. . it will always be there... but sites come and go, sites change ..... you can't count on accessing anything you have posted in the past

the lesson is... if you want it? keep a copy of it. ;)
