DeGaul .. wasn't he a president of France? ;)

I found the poem. I wrote the image "drive-by hug"... that was the original image. Here's the poem.

toasters, machine guns, tabloids, & bartenders

five toasters in eighteen months.
wal-mart sucks.
damn antagonists with marketing
machine guns using realistic language
and down-to-earth slang -
borrowing phrases from tabloids,
newspapers, bartenders,
and MCI telemarketers
to sell us junk!
we are throw away junkies.
everything's disposable.
i need a fix.
might buy a billboard.
post myself up there
maybe hope for
a drive-by hug
on the internet
highway.

fuck it.
i'm toast.

gimme some
strawberry jam
and cream
cheese -- breakfast
in a sleeping bag
on a road trip to wherever
or just a rat-a-tat-tat
me 'til they publish it all
in a display ad -- check
me out at the grocery store.

it's all advertising.
take me.

If you are going to delete this thread you should repost that.

About the hit and run poets
I am grateful to read their stuff

I would not sweat it
I don't think it matters

For some odd reason I am thinking of Bennie Shapiro's business model for his grocery store. If a guy came in carrying a loaf of bread and wanted to buy a gallon of milk
Bennie would tell him to go buy the milk where he bought the bread.

Ha! ...i like that story...not sure how it's relevant but i'll think about it.. my mind is a little foggy at the moment... who's bennie shapiro?

Yeah, that's what I realized as I was writing this stuff... it doesn't matter.. people should be able to post however they want.

Even if their entire focus is on their own work. :D

....

I think i'll just leave the thread here.

Bennie and Eva Shapiro
Grandparents

Their wedding picture
I like the way she has her hand on him
Like she is holding him there
in case he decides to run for it.
She looks happy I can't figure out his expression

Image

I don't think it was relavent either.
Just came to mind for some reason.
Probably cause I am so tired and fuzzy thinking
Good night

Hah! She's smirking! She's so proud she caught him and now he's hers! And he looks like a kid! But a proud kid! Proud he got caught. He's thinking, "I'm a MAN now! I've got a WOMAN! And tonight? Mrs. Shapiro and I are gonna do the wild thing."

Hahahahaha

sorry, couldn't resist.. it's the look on their faces

What a great photo!

about rape

but i guess nobodie's perfect

sometimes i am more introverted an have to spend time
working out my personal stuff
creatively

when i get it right i will be jamming on your skirts ma'am
an shining the professor's cowboy boots

right now i got some shit i got ta work out

young mr shapiro looks like "oh what have i done now?"

Studio eight is a good place to work on that shit jimbo

At least for me.

That flames board on litkicks I used to call it my Zen board. I got plenty of fire there. And it was good for me.

Jim I once said women scare me and you replied somethng like

"bitch hounds scare you"

Only you and Clay January have given me the adrenalin shakes.

You kept bringing me back into the discussion with Whimsical Deb, like you were Dr. Freud and explaining me to her. And I practically begged you to leave me out of it. I just wanted to be out of it.

I don't blame you, I mean yeah I was pissed but I was like a dog returning to his vomit. I should have sat on my hands and ignored the thread.

"You always get what you got coming you never have to ask." I guess I am sort of a Buddhist. like that.

SooZen tells me I don't have PTSD, but I think we all get some, mine is nothing compared to yours. blessed are those who have not seen yet believe.
I shudder to think of the slide show of eidetic images you got

Stick around jimbo
we can fuck with each others heads

This is a good place to do it like a tea party at doreen's asylum for the eternally broken hearted

or a tea party

This is how I feel about Studio eight.

Quote:
Tea at Rachel Varnhagen's

Currant bread and current affairs
Strong Assam and rooms hazy with words
Beauty and brain not a contradiction in terms
Salons where male and female minds
Shamelessly mated on plush ottomans
Where sensuous mouths dared breathing hard truths
Where strong wills fearlessly bowed to the
Ingenious stroke of a feathery well-kept hand

No hassle. I was just complaining that people stop by and post their work and then don't reply to other people.I call it a "hit and run on the internet superhighway."

I'm just a complainer sometimes. Pay no attention.

I shouldn't have even mentioned it.

Just letting off some steam. I'm over it now.
Me too.

I know what you mean about hit and run poetry. It does not matter to me, if I enjoy the poem. But I don't reply to them anymore. I read them but I never reply to them anymore.

and I feel good about that.
