My Favorite Whitman Poem--Song of the Open Road

Post by Lightning Rod » August 31st, 2007, 11:09 pm

here is a recording I did today of some passages from my favorite Whitman poem, Song of the Open Road

http://www.studioeight.tv/musicpost/LR/ ... 20road.mp3

I cut about half of the poem for this reading
it's still over ten megs

sorry about the ending being cut off
I had a disc space disaster
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Thanks for the memories of Morro Bay California. A small town library was the first time I read Whitman in 1976.

You tripped my trigger with this one clay
thanks

Nice music, is that Doreen on her baby grand?
