Love Poem to doreen

Post by Lightning Rod » January 18th, 2005, 12:32 am

I would trade my credit card
and all my assets just to sleep with you.

It's late and wealth doesn't matter.

Only the skin on the back of your thighs
has meaning like aristocrats burning
or beheaded by my lust for you.

If I could take you to bed, it wouldn't matter
You're lubricated as the guillotine.

Heads will tumble.
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Skin begins wth
instances of
brushing up
onto surfaces
not yet traveled
and in other insistences
of gravel versus paved,
skin trades itself for
pillowtalk and rave
neckline cut-offs,
tete-a-tetes, the
onset of wet
edges,
curves,
creviceswirls,
worlds warmer
worlds warmer
whirls warm
as burned buns
or clay made to stay
on a throwing wheel,
baked in ovenlove,
baked like edges
of tete-a-tete versus,
necklines brushed
by surfaces of pillowtalk,
edged in a creviceswirl
world upset by
miracles.

bennie,

ok, I admit it
I have a credit card
It's the only way to maintain
my vows of poverty and still exist
in the modern world.
With plastic you don't need to actually HAVE the money
in order to be able to spend it
very metaphysical
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

LOL!!!

Hey bennie... he's such a ham!

His "credit card" is not a credit card, it's a card which accesses the funds which he has available.

Vows of poverty? hahahahaha

LR, you slay me!

Oh, a debit card? That's what we call them here. I even have one of those.

"I would trade my debit card/and all my assets..."

Hmmm.

A man with a vow of poverty trading his assets? That's love, no?
