cigarette smoke
dances in wisps fading
into night mist and moonlight
we know each other well
partners in ambient decay
oxidized... yeah
dancing through hoops
that tighten like a noose
around my neck... fuck
i'm tired of this
want to choose the high ground
want to set the stage
pick the battle, but
it doesn't go that way
it doesn't work like that
it chooses you
chews you up
spits into the urinal vortex
spin baby twirl
mommy and daddy wait for you
you know you want to
i could scream so bad
it hurts

i know what you mean constantine about the confidence swings. the self is the most vociferous critic. i try to set that critique aside once i know i have something new to share, regardless of whether or not i am 100 % confident about it. most times i'm delightfully surprised by the support of peers, you being one whose opinion i highly regard
