I listen to their advice -
take note of their recommendations,
I bathe in the stream of suggestion
and hesitate, perhaps to offer...
only to be caught in the on-rushing cascade
from the various and innumerable fountains
that never run dry, but somehow
fail to quench - as they inundate,
irrigate - as they plow,
nurture, as they seed the terrain
that never asked for the intrusion
of their incessant and questionable intent.
