personally, i never saw it coming

Post by constantine » August 11th, 2010, 8:31 pm

love em all
those females on parade
one big chorus line
my mind plays percussion
as i try to orchestrate
the can-can,
but they won't-won't
still, there's a million lights on broadway
and there's a broadway everywhere i go
so why get depressed about it
why consume yourself with doubt
things happen all the time
jimmy grew up to be president
and look what happened to him
then that greek guy showed up
and scored on jackie-o
personally, i never saw it coming
but i was young then
and probably watching gilligan's island
i'd like to have every babe
that's ever been on tv
ginger, jeannie, helen krump
yeah, even helen krump
she was always bitching out andy
but mcqueen made it with her in the blob
and he's cool so what the fuck

on tv, we much sexier
no doubt, no such thing as the can't can't
on tv, and all the world's a stage
oh jeez, lapsed into shakespeare
whaddafuck?

marianne was my favorite
gilligan a close second, only because
he had all that goofy beatnik cred
you know, just under the surface
and the skipper was, well
the skipper

the island was a seething cauldron of repressed desire. the professor had the wherewithal to straighten things out, but ultimately, he was no different than the rest.

as was all of tv! after all it was only a mirror, no different from the rest
well, except when the big profit angle came in, but that was us too!

ever notice how the professor and marianne were left out of the original opening song? the only two who seemed somewhere near "normal"? why was that? i mean, they fixed the song later on in the series, but hmmm?

you make up your own rules
(i'll get roasted for that one)

Well, there were fifty, count 'em, people lurking according to
the stats of hits on this topic. Answer people back and they
(usually) answer you back. "Tit for tat" Fancy that...you forgot
to mention "Wonder Woman". I thought she rocked. Yeah...
What about Elvira, mistress of the darK? ...or the lady who played
on "Mod Squad"?

Ohh la la about the women. This was a goodie mr.,

P.S. I know they wouldn't work out much flavor in your piece, but just a reminder, there are a lot of scrumptious fellows for the woman who catch a late night movie, Patrick's dirty dancing, sexy Clark Kent buffing into a superman, and and and...
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

just
sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip . . .

pretty much says it all.
