thanks for reading and for the nice comments. nice to meet you happy trails. yes, joel, i agree about those lines - i think that is the beauty of folk music - how it extends from the environment - from the life of the culture in question. i listen to bluegrass, for example, and i'm in the hills of appalachia or on a farm with chickens running about as a dog chases a goat and a pig wallows - these natural rhythms of life that are expressed, and then translated into art.
