tiny mammals

Post by constantine » March 12th, 2011, 8:12 pm

and the snakes twist
and writhe, coiled
in reptilian hunger
never sated,
never quenched
cold-blooded
desires
coursing, pulsing
through the grass blades
tiny mammals scurry
beneath fern and vine
to escape, to outrun
the tongue that hears all

the tongue also lies a lot.....the tongue has all the resources a snake could ever dream of......sly words doctor D.....

ps......call me when you arrive, so we can terrorize the population.....

when i was writing it i wasn't thinking along political lines - i was going more in the direction of repressed desires - the libido oozing into the rational, those subliminal undercurrents that add color to our daily affairs. but, i can see what you and steve are saying - it is a facet, another face, of the same thing
