the rodent

Post by constantine » October 21st, 2011, 7:18 am

they called him rat
but rodent was his name
he carried the plague on his back
across asia and europe too
settled in norway
changed his eating habits
dined with king oscar
and queen what's her name
in the ice palace of oslo
such cheese!
they don't have cheese like that
in mongolia, or even in cathay
the khan was lactose intolerant
milk meant nothing to one such as he
and so the rodent moved to the westside
where dairy products proliferate freely
where cheese is respected - even admired
by both human and rodent alike
thus sprach zarathustra
who welcomed his furry friend
and set a plate of cheese before him
in healthy portions, so that
none should leave the cheese fest hungry
and return home unsatisfied, to grumble
about the stingy, grasping ways
of this host of which we boast
according to our civic and religious precepts

~A...did you say cheese? O i love cheese but not the mild kind. That shit is worse than 2% milk. What a waste! No, my cheese got to have some tang to it , know what i mean? Some sharp edge - even the kind that bites you back. Got to live large when it comes to cheese. When Napoleon was coming back from one of his conquests he wrote Josephine and said "Don't bathe, I'll be home in a week." That's how I like my cheese. Every cheese I meet I say, "Don't bathe, I'll be home in a week" - down with mild forever and go Mongolia!

rodents? mmmm smells like a rat
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
