"Showers to Flowers Jam" - April & May 2016

Went out in the yard,
What did I see?
A bunch of dogwood flowers
Waving at me...

The irises were coming in so fine
Their perfume smelled like a bottle of wine,
Pansies were showing their clown faces
As I changed positions & places

Spring brings in its new flower show
As late yellow jasmine begins its moonlit glow...

above the din of mooing cows
sounds of radio music
workers splashing through mud
sing along

Insanity reigns supreme
Constantly changing
Blueprints, blueprints.....where are they?

it's snowing
snowing -
by the time winter lets go
my bicycle will be
nothing but bones
out there in the garage

The way it's going, we may have to jam until June.
Snow showers in April? Give me a hot air balloon
to soar above the atmosphere. No, that won't work.
It's probably colder up there. Any chance we could lurk
around sun and coax its heat to break through?
No, that won't work either. I have no idea what to do.
When we put "showers" in the title of the jam, we were talking of rain, not snow.
Can I hitch a ride with you south? I need warmth! Where are you going to go?

Spring ain't never
gonna fling

sweet sour
what was fresh
wilts in hand

dust to dust
roots to blossoms
heart beats again

the snowman is back in town
he walks with the swagger of winter
on a day of emerging spring

spring doesn't have the guts
to tell him no, doesn't have the authority
to ban him from the jam

he springs into town like two bit gambler
works the con of a warm daze
covers the spread with white blow

the cocaine of an unwanted season
he sells his frigid drugs, a pusher
of our patience

Jammin the Java
Screwdriver coming
Overcast n gloom
Bright on the insides
Cherry blossom daze
Everybody stuffed up
Pollen count up
Baseball rolling along
Masters weekend
Flowers bloomin
Sleepy time down south
Jammin no plan
Words spilling
Never killing
Mas rapido typing
Faster than this little iPad
can keep up

showers of flowers here
(if you are below a palo borracho & there is enough maduration, gravity or wind!)
uneasiness want to explain itself freely
& maybe it´s good news
yeah, we had enough of the festival of signs & sighs!!
meanwhile
my place, a sort of precarious electric camp
(no gas in the building
since three months ago)
learning to live without all the supposed clicks,
the new challenge!
