I saw a New Jerusalem

Post by joel » May 28th, 2007, 1:20 pm

I saw a New Jerusalem and its
graffitied walls; and countless malcontents
who loitered there, those tagged by spray paint guilt,
by scrawny vandalized expressions, cried
outside the lacework precious gates: We see
you there, you dried-up whore, you faggot god.

I saw the masses mirror me. I saw
their hungry fury rise—a riptide’s awe,
its valid shock, its drown-dread river. Odd
the sympathy I felt. Then came to me
another vision: like a whore despised
by customers who pay her shame, a wilted
wench rose up those flotsam elements,
new life to suckle Jesus’ whelp-bitch tits.

Strong, joel, very strongly written.

Wild applause.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
