Iced Namaste

Post by Andeh » June 12th, 2007, 9:52 pm

Up holed into caves of these ridges
faded ripples of blue
Famous movie stars, rolling on their farms
Bygone communes of new
No more rhymin'
That ain't what life is
I jump over jagged rocks and small streams my ancestors fished by
Deep behind these trees
I had to heal
Couldn't barely hear shots rang out
Through the evening news
All across the spirit's country
People wore and sold ribbons
Crimson and gold
Which of cloth tied over together they say is old news
But I never forget
Don't forget strangers and one-day old friends
The best friendships you've ever had don't last beyond a move
You ae always with everyone you know if you stand in the ocean
Because they are all sitting above it
Look out across any water, and you'll see the home of someone you know
600, or 6,000 miles away a land mass, a what-kind-of-arty word of "home" can I say
Abode. Made of sand or cement
Where was I?
Here next to these mountains, I can't help but always mention
I never loved my state more than when someone tried to tarnish it
Ghosts of love invisible angels above us all
And I know there's an earthly Eden after all this darkness
we are
still alive to see round the corner
Maybe just past these ridges
or inside of this
