I'm not an absent witness to the ways
of suitors more than confident within
their lover tactics. I'm not ignorant
of subtleties you sweet communicate
to their advances: eyes that focus for
some moments infinite upon a smile
unwarranted by humor, but by sheer
and sure flirtation brough to bear on clear
encouragement of lovely folly, while
I'm absent from considerations you're
imparting from your heart in delicate
surrenders to your lust--and these I want,
these mercies ignorant of me, which in
my introverted passions hide from praise.
