no more tarry reason
no more rationale
no more southern long goodbye
lonely now, farewell

blackeyed susan's open
few but more to come
gone before i see them full
weakly they are done

scared am i to leave you
scarred am i by you
angst and fears you might forget
questions faith in you

stand behind my eyelids
that blinded yet i'd see
through sleep and night and blinking
and trust your love for me
