grief limericks

Post by joel » August 1st, 2007, 1:48 am

This young man at his Loved Ones’ dead sides:
how he wonders where faithfulness hides.
“When I need you the most
I’m least able to boast
in you.” Faith not for boasting provides.

This young man in the progress of grief
autumn mourns as he welcomes spring’s leaf
with a faith oft confused
but still faithfully used
to persist where he fails at belief.
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw
