nothing to write about excercises

Post by joel » August 21st, 2007, 9:53 am

When planks of perfect barns show grain
up close, their paint like rust-red stain
appears with splinters—rosy thorns—

When barnyard’s orange tabby cat
descends to claim a rodent that
intends to live and no one mourns—

When black-eyed susans gaze above
with yellowed limbs and bruise-beat love
then kidnapped fall for table grace—

When verdant swaths of uncut grass
raise hands—a charismatic mass
that honors life-invaded space—

When squinted eyes perceive as nude
the cloud-clothed sky as blue and crude
an endless depth of atmosphere—

When sweaty mud is careless wiped
on denim overalls, more hyped
for indigo than dusty smear—

When countless violets suffer draught—
as weeds they wither, passed without
concern as poured on potted plants—

When all environs fall the same
and vanities alone remain,
yet Hart for psalm-sung water pants.
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw
