very haunting voice, l-rod
some of the guitar reminds me of a moody blues kind of twang
some of it is late 60s-ish blues rock

i like it

LR, good music, for sure. I had some trouble understanding the lyrics. I’m sure that being aurally challenged doesn’t help.

I did hear the instruments and the voice. Consequently, I heard the Moody Blues, which j. referenced.

I also heard Neil Young, albeit he would have made the lyrics even more difficult to understand. Your range seems to be similar to his.

Songs played and sung in minor keys are, indeed, haunting. Add to that the idea of a “river of souls” and this piece is a supersized haunt.

The music’s good, as I stated, but I’d like to be able to read the lyrics while the song’s playing.

To friendship,
Michael

Down By The River

--

A river of souls
courses around us each day,
tugging and tugging.
