the world is not the place

the world is not the place you thought it was
or maybe it is, but not the way you think
that is because most of the stuff that they
cover up, all that is behind the veil
the wool they pull over our eyes
just try to imagine what life would be
like if did not have all that symbolic language
in the book that supposedly tells us
who we really are, in other words how did
it happen that the masses take it all at face
value
after tens of thousands of years, we are still believers
of what we don't really know, it is like how belief
got replaced with science, but science has become
it's own belief in turn, it is not because belief is wrong
as such, it is because belief has been controlled
by those whom have fallen into their own trap
we are so stuck in antiquated thinking
the thing that science or religion does not want to see
because of something that happened tens of thousands of
years ago, imagine how difficult it is to toss those chains
off, but it's all about letting the poetry come through
without stopping to make changes, then the one in a million
possibility can come through, but that infinitely small chance
is really what it is all about
we live in a multiverse as William James discovered
poetry is not a religion or a science but it can tell
us things that that official realities will not
that these arms of control that are now unraveling
but as they unravel before us, they jam the force plate
to the floor board, even as they reveal what they
don't tell us up front, but now they are going for it
because that one in a million chance is becoming manifest
and like Dylan sang way back when, you know something
is happening, but you don't know what it is, do you
mister Jones, like what are all those ufo sightings
all about, or why certain books are still not allowed
in schools, yes mister Jones they want to keep us stupid
poetry is all about that forbidden fraction of what they
don't want you to see, because truth will set you free
