The streets go east -west,
equinox sun busts thru dull gray,
rays in my eyes, outta the west.
Blinded, I almost crash...

Cruel as a season of rebirth
Cool clear sunny windy day
our last cold snap of the year
the one that catches everyone with their house plants out doors

Taxes are done. Easter soon comes.
I mowed the lawn today for the first time this year.
Mornings bring sun. Saw a baby chipmunk on the run.
Chemical weapons, and the world lives in fear.

I try to put it all in perspective.
New life at springtime & mass murder make me reflective.

Time for bed. Need to clear my head.
I'll examine it all tomorrow, again.
God bless. Good night. Amen.

lawn needs mowing again
tomorrow I go back to work as a taxman
weather drop dead gorgeous
cool sunny breezy
pedaled my bike ten miles in a headwind
ate some kind of truck stop herbal brownie
clerk warned me not to drive after eating it
but I am okay to type this :)

poetry all we got to keep it in perspective 8)
it is our mother-tongue
"Poetry is the mother-tongue of the human race"

black clouds
bring early sunsets
the light I cherish
fallen away
a dead soldier knows
the march is over

When do the poppies bloom in Flanders' field?
American soldiers marching to a distant drummer;
from a galaxy far far away in 1917

The War that Ended Peace
in Versailles in 1919
reflected in a hall of mirrors
you could see Hiroshima and
twenty first century wars to come

I want to go south this spring
way south of the equator
it may be spring here
but only leaves are falling in
Argentina

April 1917 was the cruelest month
maybe that's what he meant?

in the meantime on the broken radio in my head
Sunny and Cher
singing the beat goes on , the heart keeps pumping
and life goes on
so today I intend to cherish
and thank G d for making me a thing called Alive
