you rammed sanity up its ass
ripped madness into shreds
tore the heart outta love
then shot wisdom in the head

you beheaded all philosophies
kicked hatred in the balls
stomped the life outta fear
strangling joy until it falls

you stole the high outta high
spitting in the eyes of delight
snuffed the candle of the soul
burned desires constant fight

threw compassion over a cliff
dropped bombs on all ignorance
hanged perception by its neck
and destroyed all innocence

now tell me, what have you gained..?

Man, I did NOT
kick hatred in the balls
(though I had a chance)

I probably strangled joy
a few times more than I care
to remember along the way,
but then, who hasn't?

I got nothing.
