Bird on a Wire

Woke up
made coffee
had to take the dog out
leashed him up
out in the back yard he lifts a leg
I'm standing there on the
other end of the leash
I look up
bird on a wire
looking down on us
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
