surrealism and Freud

the surrealists liked Freud
because of his interpretation of dreams book
the surrealists were all about dream
Freud pointed the way to the subconscious
with his cosmic cigar
Dali painted melting watches
Picasso painted our deepest desires

but what happened to the American dream
what happened to the dream of humanity
Freud did not like America, what did he see
when he visited, what did Lorca see
when we came to New York in 1929
and wrote his surrealist book of poems
Poet in New York
he also hated America

why is America now the most hated country
in the world, how to make great
the poet sees what others dare not
Freud was not a poet but a thinker
a kind of poetic thinker
whose thoughts have been butchered

the surrealists tried to arm us with poetic thought

first of all: is it?

I´m afraid (basically) you have a problem with names... you´re not América... maybe you do an over-use of metonimia for too much long time, and also it seems it doesn´t suit you well the whole thing... Yeah, maybe it´s a good idea to make an emergency call to Freud...

gracias for the poem, r-rabbit!
