not in Kansas anymore

Post by cmoore » April 29th, 2017, 10:59 pm

The wicked witch of the north
said I will get you and your little dog too too
but she did not get elected
and the little dog figured out
how to pull the fake curtain back

somehow the orange lion got appointed
but in this timeline the wizard of odds
was not revealed for the manipulator
behind the scenes, but once again
was placed on the reality show
pulling strings and being pulled by them

and the yellow brick road and the orange lion
go off to find the girl with the god dog
the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
Kansas is not a nice farm land anymore
this story always gets darker

and the characters get all mixed up
the tin man turned into the straw man
good witches bad witches good wizards bad ones
munchkins dancing in the storm
no place like home, but there is no direction home

"The wizard will help you..." (But he's not a very good wizard. And first he might send you to war to knock off one of the Wicked Witches. And then he won't be able to help you, so he'll give you hollow awards. And then he'll... And then...) Funny how this Oz story has prompted so much allegorical pondering ...

Clever, as always.

No, we're definitely not in Kansas any more. Personally, I'd rather be in Oz than in the US right now.

Yeah, I wrote this after I listened to somebody on a youtube interview, taking about the meaning behind the Wizard of Oz, they thought it had to do with what was happening to the banking system in the US. Follow the yellow brink road, (gold). I remember the first time I saw the movie on TV, I was six or seven, and those munchkins kinda blew my mind. 8)

Kansas, a Monsanto State, where the once fertile fields
grew America's bounty of wheat fresh and healthy
but in their need for greed the seed has turned and
the poisonous Monsanto, the bastard behind the veil
has crept so silently into our systems we may all be
passing on and on and on to those who come after...
