conversation with a stranger

Post by saw » May 7th, 2017, 11:32 am

purple hazy heart
midway tween rooster red
and skid row blues
violet purgatory of his words now

step up the hill from holy hell
one floor down from hysterical heaven
he told me....
an ok spot to hang I guess

needle bouncing mustang spirit
the yin yang Geiger counter
the Rin Tin Tinderbox
the dog day afternoon

glory days spent like cartridges,
recorded for posterity...left on the field
the-get-me-over-curve
the batting practice fastball

the nasty slider in the dirt
the high cheese !!
in my dreams he said,
I can still hit 'em all
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Interesting, baseball ball metaphors work well, i wonder what happened to the baseball poets,
or the cowboy poets for that matter. 8)
