A gazillion synonyms

Post by saw » May 15th, 2017, 9:50 am

lost in an ethereal maze,
wandering 'tween impossible hedges
of delicious, exquisite thought....
not wishing to be found

I like it here, away from CNN,
the slabs of vehicular traffic
away from the the billboard tyrants
and the serial preachers

I'm OK immersed in a bath of art...
feel just fine slipping beneath the water
into a world today of Stravinsky
or Kandinsky....two "sky's" surfing the mind

Now they wuz some Russians
rushin' headlong into their heads
slamming the door on conventional thought
unafraid of the critic du jour

doin' yer own thang ain't sumpin new
been goin' on before Krishna
Buddha, Jesus, and Lao Tzu...... 8)
doin' yer own thang has a gazillion synonyms
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Yeah, you got it. You got the beat.
Meanwhile, back here in Sloganworld
we look back on those awful billboards
as part of our heritage..

... at the rail crossing
wind in new leaves
whispering ...
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

The beatniks were about doing your own thing
But that was before computers. Can you imagine
Kerouac writing on a computer, I can't
