the twenty seven different kinds of differences
or infinite kinds of infinities,
things just come because they go
there are birds that still sing bird
a crow sings crow, what do we really know
when you think of the world we live in
because how can you really think about it
if nothing is how it seems
then how does it really seem
how much do we think about green
what happens when we really know what we mean

dark is a word, Buddha is a word too, freedom is one
storms of verbs and nouns rage in the heavens
blue sky above, black soil below, stars in the sands
how many stars how many grains of sand
how much dirt, how many lives ever lived
how many not lived, what is life
what makes a poet, does a cigarette smoke itself

how many leaves have fallen from the world tree
each leaf an expression of the cosmos you see
why is ancient technology hidden, why are humans
hidden from themselves, what good is Plato
if the analogy of the cave is just to remind us
how people rather watch shadows on the wall

those crazy poets screaming fire in the church
if the church is empty did anybody even hear it
so the poet cries bloody murder in the bar or cafe
and the war drags on, does a mirror reflect itself
does a bomb blow itself up, does a cop shoot himself
do our so-called leaders actually lead us to anything

how many prophets fit on the head of a needle
did the world end already and we just don't realize it yet
what is it that we really don't want to know
did you read a forbidden book because they burn books
don't you know, did you ever read Dante's Divine Comedy
or did you get stuck somewhere in the Inferno
did you really see history dancing in that pit
and what was Shakespeare really trying to say
that kings are really philosophers trying to figure out shit

did you go to Disneyland today and ride to the moon
or have you had enough of that fake magic kingdom
because kingdoms are dumb because all the fairy tales
that have been perverted by mickey mouse corporations
and so it goes bread and circus smoke and mirrors
and all roads lead back to Rome, except the one Kerouac rode
and that ride is still ridding the black ribbon in the typewriter
of eternity

Time is compressing; people don't understand. And there's a reason the phrase "mickey-mousing" something was always a diss among the working class..

Time is running out, not because there isn't an infinite amount of it. A working class zero is something to be.

I'm that, no doubt..

Zero is an odd word.

an odd invention. In math a kind of placeholder..

Zillions of zeros holding some place.

Zoo is another odd word.
