festival day of poetry
2005
me, Doreen, & Lrod
reading them loud & proud
in the garden
having us a good old time
grazing in the grass
soaking up the suds
takin' in the sights

That was a great day! We didn't have electricity to set up the keyboard but oh well... We had so much fun! I met Tom Swiss that day. Great poetry! Remember, we sat on the grass in a circle and took turns reading, sometimes standing up to read. Loved that wild woman dressed up like a combination of a French maid and Pippy Longstockings or something... LOL!!! Terrific fun that day... Great memories!

We should do it again. When is the Sowebo festival?

I sure miss Lrod. That was the most creative era of my life. I wrote BOOKS of poetry! We did the TV show a couple of times and the Cabaradio. So many good memories! Just the other day, I was watching the DVD of a show we were on together with Perry Lindstrom hosting. And some other clips of reading in his basement. Levi and Karen were there, too, reading in the basement. Fun times!

I remember I gave you a VHS tape of something... The Cabaradio show? Or what? I can't remember what it was. Do you still have it?

Ohh... well you still had the memory! That's a good thing!

I regret not traveling east to meet Lrod and the rest of the east coast LKers back when I had more time. Lrod was one of the main reasons I joined LK in '03- reading his poetry and "Poet's Eye" takes on the world... and with usernames like "LightningRod" (and WIREMAN) it was just too fascinating of a place to resist..
