bees in the bamboo

bees in the bamboo

bam !
boo !!

lady next poor
favors atomized poison
I mix some cayenne
in a little soapy water
it pisses them off
but doesn't kill them
they head out
for friendlier environs
where neighbors don't
spray things...
they rally the troops
clad only in yellow jackets
buzz on over
to Lake Montebello,
neighbor relaxes
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

the ants go marching
across my counter
thanks, Monsanto...
but no thanks
a bit of sugar
in a little water
laced with Rite-Aid boric acid
petrochemicals
give me gas

there are some huge beetles in the desert
they are about three inches wide and they fly

creepy little ancient dinosaurs
i hear that the cockroaches in the area travel in small armies
that they come up from the storm drains
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

when I lived in the Florida Keys, we had to contend with Palmetto bugs which essentially were giant flying roaches....definitely creepy
